Writing the next chapter...

THIS IS ME.

I’ve been coached since the day I was born.

Competition, leadership, excellence and performance are in my blood. They were a major part of my upbringing.

The upside was winning. The downside was that I never felt enough, unless I won. And even then, I could never enjoy the wins because my inner critic would pick apart the imperfections of my victories.

BREAKING FREE

After moving to Hollywood and starting a career in advertising in my 20s, and a brief stint in a cushy 9 to 5, I broke free from Fortune 500 clients to pursue freedom.

With team and individual coaching at the highest level to pay the bills, I explored acting, dancing, theatre, playwriting and screenwriting.

It was liberating.

I LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL

I traveled the world.

From East to West, Pandas to Elephants, I’ve seen it all. Done it all.

I’ve competed in triathlons. Coached my teams to championships. Coached people through personal victories.

I built a network of incredible people across the world, from Hawaii to South Africa to Hong Kong.

THE COST OF FREEDOM

All that freedom cost me the certainty of a ‘normal’ picket-fence life.

The variety was invigorating. But looking back, I often felt like a tumbleweed, gone with the wind.

I woke up one morning and realized my prized freedom starting feeling like a trap.

MY TRANSFORMATION

The place I have always gone when I’m down is the page.

I write.

Throughout my career as a playwright and screenwriter, I’ve learned how characters transform, find meaning, and blossom into their truth – their authentic selves.

In my darkest hour, I saw myself as a character in my own story. I had to ask myself how this character would make it out the other side. What was her truth? How would she realize it? How would she become the hero of this story?

I wrote and I wrote.

I noticed that I’d been the shoulder to cry on, the sounding board for friends, family, students, teammates and colleagues alike for my entire life. For more than 25 years, I hadn’t been coaching athletes or teams, I had been coaching people.

That’s how the lead role in my story discovered her power, and that’s how Coach O was born.

Every victory is a breakthrough as a result of well executed strategy, driven by meaning and purpose.

I love discovering peoples’ stories.

And, I love working with clients to craft their second act, to give their lives meaning and purpose. I make people their best selves, and that’s why they excel.
